A Letter from Rayce & Jacklynn
Hello from New Mexico! We enjoy getting together with our families for dinner and going out to trivia night with friends. We are ready and excited to open our home and hearts to your child and grow our family through adoption! We look forward to teaching him/her about life, taking them on family vacations, and teaching them that they are capable of anything they put their mind to. We are open to any level of contact you are comfortable with.
We both grew up in a small community and have known each other since Jacklynn was in 2nd grade and Rayce was in 4th grade. After Jacklynn graduated high school we began dating and, in August of 2018, we were married! Through our years together we have grown and learned how we each receive love and support. We work hard to make sure the other knows they are seen and heard. This has been very important in our relationship and we will strive to teach our child the same techniques. We enjoy cooking together- Rayce cooks out on the grill and Jacklynn prepares the sides. Going on walks with our dogs, Goose and Missy, and playing fetch with them is something we love to do. We enjoy spending time at the local bowling alley, finding a good show to binge and love spending time together.
Our single-level home has three bedrooms and is in a wonderful gated neighborhood. We have a large den that will be a good playing area, and a big space in the front of our house perfect for learning to ride bikes, play basketball, baseball, soccer, or whichever activity our child shows interest in. During the winter months, we receive snow and the small slope in our backyard is perfect for sledding. In our neighborhood, we have tennis and basketball courts, a playground and field, as well as a skate park, baseball field, and bowling alley near the edge of our neighborhood. Our home is less than a mile away from several great schools and only 10 minutes away from many fun family restaurants.
Jacklynn is a co-owner of our small family-operated business and is incredibly hardworking. She works alongside her sister and enjoys interacting with guests, helping their stay to be everything they hoped and loves that our nephew gets to go to work with them every day.
Jacklynn keeps our home clean, loves to decorate it for each season, and enjoys having dinner around the table after a long day of work. She is also a licensed barber and loves to take care of everyone in the family with their hair needs. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, snuggling our dogs, watering the flowers, and painting. Jacklynn’s so excited to teach our child how to cook, bake, and the importance of cleaning up after themselves. She’s also excited to teach them the joy of life and to always look for the rainbow after the rain.
Rayce is a calm, caring, and hardworking man always ready to volunteer to help others. He loves his work as a lineman which includes building and maintaining powerlines. Rayce enjoys telling jokes, watching sports like baseball, basketball, and football (some of his favorite teams are Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and LA Chargers), playing golf, going hunting, and running around with our dogs. His patient, calm yet fun and witty personality, warm hugs, and ability to stay calm in almost any situation will make him a wonderful dad. He looks forward to teaching our child how to throw a ball, play golf, be handy around the house as well as how to take care of their car once they are older.
We are a very tight-knit family. We are very close to Rayce’s mother and she lives less than an hour away- she’s so ready to extend her love to a grandchild and is excited we are adopting. We live very close (5 minutes walking) to Jacklynn’s sister, nephew (2 years old), and brother-in-law’s house. Jacklynn’s parents live about a 5 minutes drive from our house and are thrilled to welcome another grandchild into the family to love, help guide, and watch grow. We have an amazing support system standing with us who are all ready with open arms to accept, love, and support our growing family. We see or speak to most of our family daily or several times throughout the week.
Some of our family traditions include getting Rayce’s family together for breakfast Christmas morning and getting together to watch Hocus Pocus with family every October. We also have smaller traditions from our childhoods that we are excited to pass on to our child.
We promise to love and support your child in all that they do. We will teach them about their story so he/she can be proud and grow to be the best they can be. We will show them the ways of life and instill good work ethics and determination within them. We promise to fill their life with adventure like going on family vacations and trying new things together. We will always be there for a tight hug for comfort or a small gentle nudge to help them reach their full potential in life. We are open to any level of contact you would like and are open to visits.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We enjoy family time the most. We see Jacklynn’s parents and Rayce’s mom and step-dad often. Visiting with Rayce’s grandmother and sister are always a highlight. Jacklynn’s sister and husband live close and work with Jacklynn. When we can’t get the extended family together we enjoy it just being the two of us. We like to sit outside and throw the frisbee with our dogs and enjoy each others company.
We are a Christian home. To us this means demonstrating love and patience in reflection of the kind God has for us. Due to my (Jacklynn) job, I am busiest on Sundays and we aren’t able to attend church on a regular basis. Worship to us looks like singing in the car, night time prayers, and family Bible study.
Our Musical Interest
Though the extent of our musical abilities are restricted to air guitar, we enjoy live music as well as listening to worship, country, and 80’s
